Peoria Central Invitational

Girls Results:

Team:

15) Edwardsville: 441 Points

Individual Results:
49) Allie Sweatt: 18:33
72) Erica Bailey: 18:54
74) Lizzie Lynn: 18:56
112) Courtney Lybarger: 19:34
136) Sarah Smith: 19:51
138) Erika Fulbright: 19:59
243) Lizzy Anderson: 21:29

I did not ask you what were on your "cards" last night, but I am assuming Lizzie Lynn and Erica got their times by breaking 19:00. That is the first mile stone you two will reach as high school runners. Allie was probably 8 seconds or so off, as I am sure you wanted to run sub 18:29. We really need to make sure we keep our 1-5 split under 60. I think a few ladies were a little off today, but (like the boys) I think we can get the ship righted. I am proud of the effort from the seniors, but now we need to heal up and rest a little. Remember: Every legacy has a beginning. This season should begin our legacy!

Boys Results:
1) York: 117 (Most of their varsity ran)
2) McHenry: 153
3) Rolling Meadows: 188
4) Sandburg: 200
5) Prospect: 211
6) Edwardsville: 213

Individual Results:
2) Garrett Sweattt: 14:21
12) Chad Maxwell: 15:08
56) Brydon Groves-Scott: 15:43
68) Joel Burroughs: 15:48
75) Ryker Frohock: 15:51
89) Caden Cramsey: 16:03
194) Brendan Colligan: 16:47

This was our best team race of the year. Like the girls, I wish I would have asked how many of you guys ran better than your "card". I am guessing those of you who broke 16:00 for the first time (Brydon, Joel, and Ryker) ran your times. I loved how you guys attacked today. Honestly, when I saw you guys at the 600 meter mark I thought we were in trouble. Some of you took risks and really got out. You held on much better than I thought you would and, in the process, should have gained a world of confidence for the rest of the season! I think we had 5 course PRs today and one person a second off. Now it is time to work on consistancy!

Congrats to everyone and enjoy the short weekend!
