2006 Kickoff--Now at Belleville West

Parents and Athletes:

Due to a new invitational and lack of interested teams, we have cancelled our home Kickoff race on Wednesday, August 30 and scheduled a new race for the BOYS TEAM ONLY on Tuesday, August 29. The new meet will be at Belleville West (which is located on Frank Scott Parkway, right off of Highway 15 in Belleville). We will be competing in a tringular with Granite City and Belleville West. The meet is scheduled to begin at 4:30. We will depart school at 2:20. Belleville West is host school for this year's Conference Meet. Please make note of this change!

Good luck gentleman! Let's get the season started in style!

Mud Mountain XI: Thank You!

I just wanted to take a quick moment and thank everyone who was involved with Mud Mountain XI. The race was fantastic and we reached our goal of 500+ registered runners. I can still invision four hundred plus runners heading down the first alley of the course! I appreciate all of the help we received, from minor work to countless hours of preparation. I do want to say some special thank yous:

--EGMH Foundation: Thank you for supporting our program!
--SIUE: Thank you for the fabulous work on the course! The conditions were great!
--Dr. Hightower: Thank you for your services as Head Starter and thank you for your support!
--ECUSD7 Administration: Our district and program would not be what they are without your hard work and dedication.
--Craig Virgin and Stephen Pifer: Not just one, but two Illinois running Legends! Thank you for your time and support!
--Cross-Country Booster Club and Parents: Thank you for making the team and myself look good.
--Edwardsville Cross-Country Coaches: Matt, Steve, Sara, and John: Thanks for everything!
--Keith Dudding: For keeping us entertained and ready to run.
--Sara Chapman: Thank you for entering over 500 names in the computer! Sara and Julia Doll make our race happen!
--Mr. Cullen: Can we count on you for parking services in the future? Thanks.
--Tom Atwood and Pam Nelson: Race Directors.....need I say more? Thank you.
--Andy Thomas: No children involved, yet spent most of Friday and Saturday helping. Oh yeah, why is there an award named after you again?

Most importantly, one person needs more recognition than anyone else:

DAVE GOODHUE: There is no way to express my grattitude! Dave has put in an unbelievable amount of time. Thank you Dave, for all of your hard work and dedication.

I apologize if I missed anyone, but I do appreciate you help. I am lucky to be able to coach such wonderful young men and women and I am blessed to work with such supportive, energetic and dedicated parents, Booster Club Members and Administrators.

Thank you for you part in making Mud Mountain XI a huge success!
