Individual Results for 8/29/09 at O'Fallon

Well, we got to experience our first race of the 2009 season on a beautiful day at a new course. Although fairly flat, the wide open field and rough footing made for some tough times. This was a good practice race to prepare us for what lies ahead. Like I said Saturday after the race, this time is used as a starting point for the 2009 season. We will be back here in over a month for the SWIC Conference Championship. Your goal until then is to work hard everyday and do everything possible to get yourself ready for the next time we run at this course. Remember, success is not measured in terms of an individual place within your team or a specific meet, but rather how far you come in a year and how much you improve. Good job and congratulations on a fine start to the 2009 XC Season!

First Meet is Saturday, August 29 at O'Fallon

Our first cross country meet will take place on Saturday, August 29th at O'fallon's new cross country course.

Bus Departure - 7:15AM, please be at EHS by 7:05AM

Girls Race (Starting Time) - 9:00AMBoy's Race (Starting Time)- 9:30AM

Location: The new O'fallon Family Sports Park off Obernuefemann Road.

ALL runnerss will run at this meet unless specifically told otherwise. There is no varsity, only one open girls and one open boys race.

Directions:

-Take either Interstate 255 South or Illinois Highway 159 South to Interstate 64

-Head East on Interstate 64 to O'fallon, IL

-Take the Green Mount Road Exit and head North

-Green Mount Road will turn into Obernueffman Road

-The park will be on your left about 1/4 mile past State Street

Team pictures will be on Monday, August 17, 2009 at the EHS High School at 3:00 p.m. Please arrive at least 20 minutes early. We will be taking team photos only. Individual photos will be at a later date in uniform. Team t-shirts will be handed out at the photo. Please wear Khaki shorts for the photo.
